In January 2019, Platforms for Dialogue finished establishing 21 Community Resource Centres in 21 project working districts of Bangladesh.
Serving as a hub for citizen engagement, the EU-funded CRCs are tailored to optimise the outreach of civil society and promote a participatory climate for all stakeholders: citizens, interest groups, local authorities, and elected officials.
Local communities can use these politically neutral spaces to hold meetings and workshops and exhibit their initiatives on local issues.
Through a simple registration process, anyone can avail free access to the internet, have their queries met on policy instruments and get assistance in filing applications for any information under the RTI Act and complaints through GRS software.
